To ensure reliability, the new range use the Kyocera Mita dual component toner and the manufacturer’s own controller. The combination of the dual component toner and single component drum means that: a consistently high level image quality is achieved over a long period of time. In addition, Kyocera’s long-life components and reliable paper feeding and finishing mechanisms guarantee a minimal need for servicing and ongoing maintenance.
The productivity of users is improved by the reduced time the office colour MFPs require to complete a print job. The very short warm up time of 45 seconds means users can get to work straight away. Furthermore, the short paper path enables a fast first copy time of less than 8 seconds, more likely to be produced by a monochrome MFP than an advanced colour printer.
The series includes a variety of time-saving features designed to limit end-user ‘down time’, thereby increasing productivity in the office environment and minimizing impatience experienced by users when waiting for important documents to print, or when multiple users are printing at the same time. Powerful processors and a large capacity memory allow several jobs to be processed simultaneously. The office colour MFPs also feature a user-friendly tilting widescreen touch panel.
The KM-C3225 and KM-C3232 print at 32 pages-per-minute (ppm) in A4 black and white, and 25/13 and 32/16 ppm in A4/A3 colour respectively. The KM-C2520 has a print speed of 20 ppm in A4 colour and 25 ppm in A4 black and white, 10 ppm in A3 colour.
In his report “Color Printers and MFPs Will Lead Growth of Output Device Market” Peter J. Grant from Gartner expects that the demand for colour MFPs in Europe will grow by 23 per cent through 2009. Zac Butcher, Manager Business Development, Kyocera Mita Europe comments, “At Kyocera Mita, we will continue to grow our colour laser MFP offering to meet the demands of this growing market. With this new series of devices we are launching a range of colour MFPs which retain all the benefits and reliability of our monochrome MFPs.”
